Last weekend Bikegoo headed over to Pippingford Park in Nutley (literally round the corner from our workshop in Hartfield) to compete in the Muc Off 8 hour enduro MTB race. Bikegoo teamed up with our local riding buddies Days of Speed to form three teams.And it was quite bloody tough. The route was very up and down with some severe muddy sections that sapped the legs and made things a little more gooey. There were some really enjoyable points too including some nice riverside singletrack and a couple of swoopy downhills. You don't get that sort of thing at the other more well known enduro events!
Overall our teams finished 51st, 69th and 87th (that includes a 4th place in the Mens Vets Teams category). Brilliant results and a very enjoyable day. Well organised, good course (if only it had been a little drier!) and good fun.
Roll on the next one. We'll be there!
